My assault on world media never stops...

If you happened to be on the West side of Cleveland last week and were watching Cox45 you might have seen myself and fellow Optiem co-worker Ben Bykowski on your TV's.

We were lucky enough to be asked to appear on Talk 'N Tech, a show which helps explain technology. This time the questions, posed by host Darlene Zwolinski, were about RSS. If you missed it, I've embedded it below (with the kind permission of Dan & Matt from Cox) for your viewing pleasure.

I believe you can also get this show On Demand as part of Cox's cable package.  It was a cool experience (I must smile more) and hopefully we'll get asked back.

I like it when things just work...

...like seeing the microformats toolbar pop-up when I'm reading a blog post by Jeremy Keith, delivered by RSS to my Bloglines. microformats in an rss reader

Listening to your users...

Whilst reading Zeldman.com I came across this post about trouble he was having with iLike.

The interesting thing is the company hadn't responded to the customer support email he'd sent, but found out about it by a Google Alert and reading their RSS feeds.  This is something that Optiem has been talking to our clients about for sometime now.  Use all the tools out there to see where the conversation is happening and join in!

It's nice to see a company using the tools out there to deal with this sort of problem - To me this is more Web2.0 than candy colors and gradients.
